Today a St. Louis County judge granted us legal custody of Andrew! Six months from now we’ll go back to have it finalized. State law requires 6 months of “supervision” before finalizing an adoption.
The brothers celebrating.

Already a hispster
Andrew is 4 weeks old today. He’s already up to 7lbs and just started wearing newborn-sized clothing!
He’s gained so much strength as well. Last week he couldn’t stay propped up on the couch, this week he can!
Thinking over these last two weeks since Andrew joined our family, our overwhelming emotion is gratitude. We’re so grateful to Andrew’s birthmom for taking such good care of him his first 9 months of life. We’re so grateful to the staff at MoBap for suggesting our adoption agency, Bethany. We’re so grateful to the nurses in the NICU who took great care of him. And we’re so grateful to our friends and family for all the support they’ve given us. And of course we’re thankful to God for the blessing that Andrew is to our family.
Andrew has a rigorous daily work out routine of 2 minutes of tummy time and it’s starting to pay off. We have a head lift!
I feel like this should be a meme ?.
Andrew has amassed quite a collection of preemie clothes through various sources. Just because you’re small, doesn’t mean you can’t be stylin’.
For the hard-working baby
Perfect for playing a match of tennis at the club
Plenty of lounge wear is a must
Finally, every boy needs a dinosaur t-shirt
Andrew’s just a little guy right now but he’s growing like a champ. So I decided we’d better document his size.
Here he is at 2 weeks 6 days and 6lbs
This is his favorite face to make

Bath time!
I had two cuddle buddies yesterday morning, notice Oreo in the background.
