Talking guy

Andrew has six words that he says now and a lot of sound approximations of other words. His favorite words are Hi and Bye. Here he is practicing with Daddy.

He also loves to put things into containers right now. The other night I saw him open the trash can lid and then he was waving and saying bye-bye to the stuff inside. So I thought ok, that’s interesting. Then the next morning we couldn’t find his school shoes. We looked everywhere they could be. And then I remembered the bye-bye….. Yep, he had thrown away his shoes. ?

So google photos made this video for me and it was so cute, I had to share. It shows videos of Andrew over the past year.

Cousins

Over Labor Day Andrew got to spend some fun time with his cousin Josephine. She’s only 4.5 months younger (but really closer to 3 if you take Andrew’s adjusted age).

Here they are back at Christmas when Andrew was coaching Josephine on tummy time.

And now they’re both walking and playing alongside each other.

Walk right in

This past weekend, Andrew finally put all the pieces together and became a walker! Now he walks most places.

He’s also developed quite a sense of humor. We were talking about the name of body parts at dinner so he put his cucumber on his nose, then on his eye, then on his head!
